Sometimes the chase is like a dog chasing his tail. It is often seen that you will then find you are chasing your dreams but you are catching up with them rather than running in circles! Everyone chases a bit of what they say life is about money, desire. But when you stop chasing, you realize  life is a rhythm and it’s very peaceful, very quiet. You see, it’s quite a miracle.

Happiness, true happiness, is an inner quality. It is a state of mind. If your mind is at peace, you are happy. If your mind is at peace, but you have nothing else, you can be happy. If you have everything the world can give – pleasure, possessions, power – but lack peace of mind, you can never be happy.

That happiness is never about your job, your degree, or being in a relationship. Happiness was never about following in the footsteps of all of those who came before you, it was never about being like others.

One day, you are going to say- that happiness was always about discovering, hoping, listening to your heart, and following it whenever it chose to go.

Happiness was always about being kinder to yourself, it was always about embracing the person you are becoming. One day, you will understand. That happiness was always about learning to live with yourself, that happiness was never in the hands of other people. It was always about you.

Happiness is not a luxury. It is a necessity. When we are happy, we are in the best possible place to be good to ourselves and those we love.

The purpose of our lives is to be happy.

I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself in. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition. When ambition ends, happiness begins.

Do not take yourself too seriously. You have to learn not to be dismayed at making mistakes. No human being can avoid failures. On the other hand, cheerfulness is a very great help in fostering the virtue of charity. Cheerfulness itself is a virtue. I have chosen to be happy because it’s good for my health. ”Happiness is a journey, not a destination. They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: Someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.

Sanity and happiness are an impossible combination. If you want to be happy, do not dwell in the past, do not worry about the future, focus on living fully in the present. Happiness is a state of mind. It’s just according to the way you look at things.

Others may know pleasure, but pleasure is not happiness. It has no more importance than a shadow following a man. ”Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears. The most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it’s all that matters. Happiness is the secret to all beauty. There is no beauty without happiness.” Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it. If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. Live for each second without hesitation.

Happy people live with purpose. They find joy in lasting relationships, working toward their goals, and living according to their values. The happy person is not enamored with material goods or luxury vacations. This person is fine with the simple pleasures of life—petting a dog, sitting under a tree, enjoying a cup of tea.

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
